Shershaah Completes 4 Years: Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra is celebrating the fourth anniversary of his blockbuster war drama Shershaah. On Tuesday, 12th August, the Student of the Year actor took to social media to share his feelings about the film that made him the face of Captain Vikram Batra’s inspiring story. Released in 2021, Shershaah is a biographical war drama directed by Vishnuvardhan. It tells the extraordinary life story of Captain Vikram Batra, a young Indian Army officer who became a national hero during the 1999 Kargil War.
Currently busy promoting his upcoming romantic comedy Param Sundari, Sidharth marked the occasion by posting the Shershaah trailer on his Instagram Stories. Alongside the clip, he wrote, “4 years… and the pride, the love, and the memories remain just as strong. Capt. Vikram Batra (PVC): This will always be my honour,” followed by the Indian flag emoji. The film holds a very special place in Sidharth Malhotra’s personal life as well. His on-screen chemistry with Kiara Advani captured the hearts of audiences, and the two eventually fell in love in real life. In 2023, the couple tied the knot in a beautiful wedding, making their Shershaah journey even more meaningful for fans.

The film follows Batra’s journey from his early training days to his brave acts on the battlefield, particularly during Operation Vijay, where he played a key role in India’s victory before sacrificing his life. Sidharth Malhotra plays a double role in the film as Captain Vikram Batra and his identical twin, Vishal Batra. Kiara Advani stars as Dimple Cheema, Vikram’s fiancée, whose presence brings emotional warmth to the intense war narrative. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the romantic comedy pairs Sidharth with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time. The story follows a North Indian man who falls for a South Indian woman, exploring cultural differences and family drama with plenty of humour and heart.
Following that, Sidharth will appear in Vvan: Force of the Forest, a fantasy drama inspired by Indian mythology and mysticism. Directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra, the film will see him sharing the screen with Tamannaah Bhatia. It is scheduled for release in 2026 and promises a grand visual experience.
