Puja Vidhi of Shukra Pradosh Vrat
Wake up early in the morning, take bath, wear clean clothes (white color is auspicious) and take a pledge to fast. If possible, go to Shiva temple in the morning and perform Jalabhishek. Take bath again during Pradosh Kaal (evening) or wash your hands and feet and become clean. Anoint Shivling with Ganga water, milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar (Panchamrit). Offer Belpatra, Dhatura, Akshat (unbroken rice), white sandalwood and ashes to Mahadev. Chant the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivay’, read the story of Shukra Pradosh and finally perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva.
