A big update has come out on Shubman Gill’s neck injury. BCCI informed the media that the Indian Test captain is recovering rapidly and he is going to go to Guwahati with the team. India has to play the second Test in Guwahati from 22nd November and Gill will also go with the squad. However, no decision has been taken on whether Gill will play or not. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said that the decision on Gill’s playing will be taken a day before the match i.e. on November 21.

Shubman Gill’s neck injured

Shubhman Gill He got injured while batting during the Kolkata Test. Gill suffered a neck strain due to which he had to retire heartbroken and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Gill was kept in ICU for one day but he was discharged from the hospital the very next day. The BCCI medical team is now keeping an eye on him and the decision on his playing will be taken at the last moment.

Who will replace Shubman Gill?

The question is that if Shubman Gill does not play then who will play in his place? Team India practiced after the defeat at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Sai Sudarshan sweated a lot in the practice held on Tuesday and it seems that this player may get a chance in place of Gill. However, Nitish Kumar Reddy has also been included in the team. If Sudarshan is given a chance, the team will be full of left-handed batsmen, which the South African team can take advantage of. If Nitish Reddy is given a chance, he is not in good form. Now it remains to be seen what decision Gautam Gambhir takes.

The Indian team has lost the first test of this series. India had to face defeat by 30 runs in Kolkata. Indian batsmen were failing in front of South African spinners. Team India is trailing 0-1 in the series, if a mistake is made in Guwahati, not only will the series be lost but the team management will also have to face severe criticism.
