Shri Krishna: Lord Vishnu, the protector of the world, had incarnated in the form of Shri Krishna in Dwapar Yuga. Dwapar era is said to be of Shri Krishna. During his era, he performed a lot of activities, which are described in the religious scriptures. The Mahabharata war which destroyed humanity also took place in the Dwapar Yuga. The war of Mahabharata lasted for 18 days, in which the Pandavas were victorious. In this religious war, Shri Krishna became Arjun’s charioteer, but do you know how Shri Krishna died?

Pandavas had won the war of Mahabharata, but they were not happy with their victory. His mind was disturbed after seeing the devastation caused in the war. After the war, Shri Krishna along with the Pandavas came to Gandhari and Dhritarashtra to express their condolences on the death of Duryodhana and ask for forgiveness. Gandhari and Dhritarashtra’s hearts were filled with sorrow after hearing about Duryodhana’s death. Gandhari left the Pandavas and started considering Shri Krishna responsible for Duryodhana’s death.

Gandhari had cursed Shri Krishna

Gandhari shouted at Shri Krishna and said that I worshiped you considering you as the incarnation of Vishnu. Are you at all ashamed of what you have done? If you had wanted, this war would never have happened. After this, Gandhari cursed Shri Krishna and said that after exactly 36 years from today, you too will leave this earth. Yaduvansh will be completely destroyed. It is said that this curse of Gandhari became the reason for the death of Shri Krishna and the destruction of the Yadu dynasty.

Many years later, Shri Krishna’s son Samba disguised himself as a pregnant woman and went to meet the sages. Seeing her in the guise of a pregnant woman, the sage became angry and cursed her that she would give birth to an iron arrow that would destroy your family and empire. Hearing this, Samba became frightened and told the whole story to Ugrasen. Ugrasen told Samba to make powder of an arrow and throw it in the river. By doing this they will be freed from the curse.

Crime and sin increased in Dwarka

A special kind of grass grew in the area where this powder was deposited. After this Ugrasen decided that there would be no production and distribution of any kind of intoxicants in the Yadav state. After this, some very inauspicious signs started being seen in Dwarka. Sudarshan Chakra, Shri Krishna’s conch, his chariot and Balram’s plow disappeared. Crime and sin increased in Dwarka. Seeing this, Shri Krishna got upset. Then he asked the people to go to the banks of river Prabhas and atone for their sins.

This is how Shri Krishna died

The people of Dwarika were under the influence of alcohol. Went there and started fighting. According to the curse of Gandhari, Yadu dynasty was destroyed. Some time after this incident, Shri Krishna was taking Yoga Samadhi under a tree. Meanwhile, a hunter named Jara mistook the moving feet of Shri Krishna for a deer and fired an arrow. Lord Krishna died with the same arrow.
