2- Madhumas: The month of Sawan is known for rain and greenery. The first strong sunlight of this month falls. Sawan usually starts with the onset of monsoon. Trees, plants, farm-barn, waterfalls and surrounding plants are refreshed. Everything starts to look sweet and attractive. This is the reason why it is also called Madhumas.

3- Harimas: Sawan is called the month of Bholenath, but this month is special for worshiping Lord Vishnu. The name Hari is of Lord Vishnu, hence it is also called Harimas.
