Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 has become this year’s first bonafide Bollywood blockbuster and has received immense love and support from fans since its release on August 15. This film is the sequel to the 2018 movie Stree and the fifth entry in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe.
The movie features an ensemble cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles.
Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia also make special cameo appearances. Following the film’s success, Shraddha Kapoor recently expressed her gratitude towards the director in a social media post, which has gone viral.

The Haider actress posted a nostalgic picture on social media, reflecting on the franchise’s journey and expressing her gratitude to producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik for their steadfast support and vision.
In her post, Shraddha included a heartfelt caption, which read, “6 saal purane photos, pehli ‘Stree’ ke dauraan humare ‘Stree’ aur ‘Stree 2’ ke super duper blockbuster producer aur director ke saath.” She looked back on the journey that began six years ago with the first Stree film, her words filled with gratitude and admiration for the duo behind the franchise.
She also added, “Thank you Dinoo aur Amar @amarkaushik mujhe apne kamaal, bemisaal aur lajavaab ‘Stree’ picharon mein shamil karne.” Shraddha’s message not only shows her appreciation for being part of such a successful project but also her deep respect for the creative genius of Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.
Stree 2 Box office collection so far
A site Sacnilk estimates that Stree 2 has collected ₹441.55 crore in India in 16 days. Globally, the film’s total earnings are over ₹630.00 crore so far.
