Roti par ghee lagana chahiye ya nahi: Ghee is an important part of the Indian kitchen. It not only enhances the taste of food but is also considered beneficial for health. Especially desi ghee has been described as nectar in Ayurveda.
Now, ghee is most commonly used with bread. Most people eat ghee over bread. But is it right to do so? Often, there is a question in people’s mind whether you should eat ghee on bread or not. If you are also one of these people, then let’s know the answer to this question from Acharya Balkrishna, the chief of Patanjali Yogpeeth.
What is the right way to eat bread?
In a video shared on his YouTube channel regarding the case, Acharya Balakrishna says, Ghee is very beneficial for health. Eating ghee gives you many benefits simultaneously. Especially the fatty acids, vitamins A, D, E and K are essential for our body. But despite all the benefits, one should not eat ghee on bread.
Why not do this?
According to Acharya Balakrishna, applying ghee on bread makes a layer, which can cause obstruction in digestion. This layer does not allow food to be digested properly, due to which you can have problems like gas, indigestion or heaviness. In such a situation, avoid applying ghee on bread. Apart from this, you can add ghee to whatever vegetable or lentils are eating with bread. That is, add ghee in lentils and vegetables and eat bread with it, but do not apply ghee on the bread.
Acharya Balakrishna further explains, many people apply ghee on it to make the bread soft. In such a situation, if your rotis are tight, then you can add ghee to it while kneading the dough. By doing this, the bread will be soft, as well as digested easily. In this way, you can consume ghee without damaging health.
