How much did ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ earn on the first day?
According to the report of trade tracker website sacnilk.com, ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ has earned around Rs 30 lakh on the first day. The special thing is that due to the wave of Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar’, this film has been released on only 1000 screens across the country. Still, it has beaten its previous biggest opening in earnings. According to the same trade tracking website, when this film was released in 1975, it had earned only Rs 8 lakh on the first day. The first weekend collection of the film was also limited to Rs 25 lakh.
