Shamli Murder Case: In Lilon village of Shamli, the son-in-law beat his mother-in-law and threw her from the roof, due to which she died. The daughter kept intervening but the in-laws continued the assault. The police have started investigating the case by sending the body for post-mortem.
While leaving the house in the morning to calm the tension going on in her daughter’s in-laws house, a mother would not have imagined that she would not return. Hearing her daughter’s pain, the mother went to inquire about her condition as usual, but what happened there shook the entire area. Rukhsana, a 55-year-old woman who had come to settle a dispute at her in-laws’ house, was murdered. It is alleged that the son-in-law and his brothers first beat him brutally and then threw him down from the terrace.

This painful incident happened on Tuesday morning in Lilon village of Sadar Kotwali area. Ruby (33)’s mother Rukhsana had come to convince her son-in-law Nawab and his brothers. The dispute escalated and it is alleged that Nawab, Irshad, Irfan and Khalid beat Rukhsana brutally and then threw her from the terrace. Injured Rukhsana was taken to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

13 years old marriage, but dispute was increasing since 2 years
Fakilu, a resident of Asara, Baghpat, married his daughter Ruby to the Nawab of Shamli 13 years ago. The initial years were fine, but in the last two years disputes over expenditure and money had increased. Ruby alleges that the Nawab often beat her and did not even pay her the expenses.
“Mother had no fault, she was killed.”
Victim Ruby told that Nawab had beaten her on Monday also. She called her mother and told her, to which Rukhsana promised to go to her in-laws’ house the next day and talk to her. Ruby said crying, “I never thought that these people would kill my mother.”
Family alleges: This is not an accident, it is murder
Rukhsana’s husband Fakilu and son Arif say that they cannot believe that a normal domestic dispute would take such a big turn. The family alleged that the son-in-law and his family members murdered Rukhsana and fled away. Police have sent the body for postmortem. The search for the accused is ongoing. The case has been registered under serious crime.
