Before the New Year, gig workers of Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon and Flipkart are on strike across the country. Due to delivery services being affected on December 31, people may face problems in ordering food and online shopping. Gig workers say that this strike had become necessary due to low wages, increasing work pressure and lack of security. Now there is a demand for intervention from the government.
