Chamba/Bharmour: The havoc of nature at the district Chamba of Himachal Pradesh at this time has not only disrupted the life, but has also broken the unwavering faith and traditions that have been going on for centuries. The biggest and tragic example of this was seen in Shri Manimahesh Yatra, where the holy ritual of ‘dull break’ could not be completed for the first time in history. Like every year, this time also on the auspicious occasion of Radha Ashtami, according to tradition, Shiva disciples (special worshipers of Lord Shiva) of Sanchui village went out on their journey this morning to break the holy Manimahesh Dal lake. His faith and freshness were elevated, but he had to bow down to the wrath of nature.

As soon as Shiva disciples reached Harasar, the main stop of the journey, the entire route from there towards Manimahesh was completely destroyed due to landslides and floods. There was a huge stone and debris from place to place, and proceeding due to continuous rains was like risking life. Seeing the difficult circumstances, Shiva disciples decided that they could not go further, and they returned to Bharmour from there.
