Shilpa-Raj accused of cheating

The news of the restaurant being closed has come at a time when a case of cheating of Rs 60 crore has been registered against Shilpa and Raj Kundra. According to an IANS report, Mumbai businessman Deepak Kothari has filed a police complaint against both of them. He alleges that he had invested in a company called Best Deal TV Private Limited, but was cheated in the name of investment and debt.

The case is between 2015 and 2023. Kothari claims that Shilpa and Raj misused their Rs 60 crore and those money was spent in private needs. According to police sources, this fund was taken in the name of expansion of business, but in reality it was used for personal benefits rather than business objectives.
