Actress Shilpa Shetty has joined the viral ‘VIBE’ trend, adding her own energetic touch while cheering for actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu, actress Preity Zinta and the team of the upcoming film.
The ‘Hungama 2’ actress took to Instagram to share a video of herself participating in the trend. In the clip, Shilpa is seen seated on a yacht in blue jeans as she dances to the viral track and performs its hook step with her signature energy.
Sharing the video, she wrote, “Bitten by the #VIBE bug @kunalkemmu fab stuff, can’t wait to see the film. See, @realpz, I did it! Hope it was #Goodenuf. Now wanna see Gene do it.”
She also wished newcomer Vanshika Dhir and praised Sparsh Shrivastava for his dance moves, before challenging Soha Ali Khan to take part in the trend.
‘VIBE’ features Kunal Kemmu in the lead along with Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Vanshika Dhir. The film has been directed by Kunal and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18.
Preity recently spoke to IANS about the demanding schedule she had to manage while shooting for the project. She said she had to balance her professional commitments in India with her responsibilities towards her children, who are based in the US.
“I was already doing something intense, so I wanted to balance that out by doing something fun. And if it’s hectic, yes, it is hectic because my kids are in America, so I had to shuffle between the two countries. But it was worth it. It was a lot of hard work, a lot of fun, a lot of discovery. So yes, I enjoyed it,” she said.
Talking about the film, Preity said she immediately connected with the script and found it genuinely funny.
“When I first read the script, I really enjoyed it. I laughed a lot. Toh mujhe laga, agar main as an actor itna has rahi hoon, so I’m sure once the actors perform in it and it’s put together, it’ll be wow,” she said.
Describing the film as “a fun vibe, a fun ride”, Preity added that her decision to take up the project was based on the script.
