Actors Shehnaaz Gill and Varun Sharma visited the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai and offered prayers during the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Shehnaaz shared glimpses of the visit on Instagram, posting two pictures. In one, she was seen offering prayers, while the other showed her posing with Varun Sharma in front of the Lord Ganesh idol.
“Ganpati Bappa Morya!” Shehnaaz wrote in the caption while tagging Varun.
Lalbaugcha Raja is one of Mumbai’s most prominent sarvajanik Ganesh idols and is installed every year in the Lalbaug locality during Ganesh Chaturthi. In 2026, the celebrated Ganpati idol marks its 93rd year.
On the work front, Shehnaaz was recently seen in Singh vs Kaur 2, which follows Nehal, a young man who persuades villagers to invest in a fish-farming project. After the money is stolen, he travels to Canada in search of those responsible and to restore his honour.
Shehnaaz also featured in Ishqnama this year, a period romantic drama inspired by the true story of soulmates Nimma and Nasima. Set between 1981 and 1988 along the India-Pakistan border, the film explores love, sacrifice, separation and humanity beyond borders.
Directed by Arvvindr S. Khaira and produced by Sourabh Rana and Ravneet Kaur Chahal, Ishqnama is adapted from the book Hind Pak Bordernama.
Shehnaaz will next be seen in Ranna Ch Dhanna, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron.
Varun Sharma, meanwhile, was last seen in Rahu Ketu, a 2026 Hindi comedy written and directed by Vipul Vig. The film stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey and Chunky Panday.
