Shardiya Navratri 2025: Sharadiya Navratri in the year 2025 starts on 22 September 2025, Monday. Navratri has special significance in Hinduism. During Navratri, nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped. In the year 2025, Navratri will be 9 but 10 days.
Importance of the first day of Navratri
Navratri starts from Pratipada date. On this day, the first form of Maa Durga is worshiped by mother Shailputri. Ghatasthapana and Kalash establishing fasting and worship are resolved. The first day of Navratri is sung during the worship of Maa Shailputri. This mother is known as the first form of Durga, who is the daughter of the mountain Himalayas and rides on the bull and holds a trident in her hand.
