Sharad Purnima Worshiping Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi and Chandradev brings happiness and prosperity in the house. On this day, take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. Clean the house and the place of worship with Ganga water. Install a checkpoint at the temple or place of worship. Put a red or yellow cloth on it and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Light incense, lamps and offer flowers, fruits, akshat, roli and naivedya to God. It is considered very auspicious to offer lotus flowers, white sweets and monolithic coconut to Maa Lakshmi.
At night, make rice pudding and fill it in an earthen or silver vessel and place it in the moon light under the open sky (in the roof or courtyard). Wake up at night and chant the mantras of Maa Lakshmi and Chandradev.
