Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has become the butt of all jokes on social media after his recent online activity. The right-handed batsman recently represented Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2025 clash against arch-rivals India.
While Pakistan faced a heavy defeat in the match, Sahibzada Farhan had a decent outing with the bat. He top-scored for his side, scoring 40 runs off 44 balls.
Sahibzada anchored Pakistan’s innings
During his fighting knock against India’s formidable attack, Sahibzada Farhan also hit one four and three sixes. Two of those sixes came against Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the best fast-bowler in the world.
While Pakistan lost the match, Sahibzada Farhan decided to post a clip of those two sixes on his TikTok account, leaving the fans shocked. While some of the fans slammed Farhan for his action, some even questioned his mentality.
Sahibzada Farhan’s effort goes in vain:
While Sahibzada was the top-scorer for Pakistan in their game against India, his efforts could not power his team to a win. Pakistan were completely outplayed by India in the crucial match. The defending champions thrashed Pakistan by 7 wickets to register their second win in as many games in the tournament.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a modest total of 127/9 in the allotted 20 overs. The Salman Agha-led side struggled with the bat right from the start. Hardik Pandya dismissed Saim Ayub on the very first legal delivery of the match and Pakistan just could not recover from that setback.
India decimates Pakistan
They kept losing wickets at regular intervals. At one stage, they were reeling at 64/6 and even the 100-run mark was looking like a distant dream but they managed to post a respectable total.
In reply, India chased down the total in less than 16 overs with seven wickets in hand. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 47 while Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma scored 31 runs each.
Meanwhile, India have qualified for the Super 4s after winning the first two matches in the tournament. Their final group game is against Oman. On the other hand, Pakistan face UAE in a do-or-die match in their last group game.
