The controversy began after a paparazzi page shared a video of Shalin Bhanot from the screening of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s film Main Vaapas Aaunga. In the post, the page claimed that the actor had decided to remarry his first wife, Dalljiet Kaur.
The caption quickly went viral and led many social media users to believe that the former couple was planning to reunite.
Shalin Bhanot Denies The Rumours
After learning about the viral post, Shalin reacted strongly and denied the report. Responding publicly, he wrote, “This is absolutely FALSE and completely fabricated news. As a media page, you have a professional responsibility to verify facts before spreading absolute lies about someone’s personal life just for views.”
The actor criticised the page for sharing unverified information about his personal life before publishing such claims.
Shalin Bhanot Demands Removal Of Remarriage Post
Shalin also called on the page to immediately delete the post and issue a public apology. He added, “Delete this post immediately and issue an official apology post on your page for spreading misinformation. Consider this a warning-failing to comply will leave me with no choice but to initiate strict legal action against you and your company.”

Many social media users backed Shalin and praised him for addressing the issue directly. Several fans agreed that misinformation should not be shared without proper verification and encouraged the actor to take strict action if necessary.

Shalin Bhanot and Dalljiet Kaur got married in 2009 after meeting on the sets of the television show Kulvaddhu. The couple welcomed their son Jaydon in 2014 before separating in 2015. Later Daljiet married Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel in 2023, however things got ugly in 2024 as the actress alleged him of cheating. The news gathered so much limelight.
