Smack worth crores recovered from Eco car

District Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar informed that the police station Asnavar police had received secret information that a large amount of drug was being taken to Jaipur in a vehicle. It was blocked at Aklera Road late at night. When the police stopped a suspected Eco car, there were two men and four women in it. At first glance, everything looked normal because a woman also had a child in her lap. But after searching, 1.574 kg smack was recovered under seats and hidden mines, which was stated to be around Rs 3 crore 15 lakh.

Jhalawar police reached the mastermind

  • The arrested accused told during interrogation that they had met this consignment from Hemant Tanwar, a resident of Ghatoli and had to hand over it to Raju alias Rajesh, who lives in Ramnagar, Jaipur. The police immediately formed two teams showing readiness. One team went to Ghatoli and nabbed the chief supplier Hemant Tanwar, while the other team raided Jaipur and took Raju alias Rajesh into custody.
  • Initial inquiries revealed the fact that smugglers often traveled along with women and children. He believed that in this way he would avoid police investigation. But this time his move could not succeed.
