At the same time, he has praised the performance of Akshay Kumar, popularly known as Khiladi Kumar.

When Naseeruddin Shah was asked in this interview whether he watches films of popular stars like Khan, Kumar or Devgan? And when he liked his acting, he said, “No and I don’t even try to watch them. I have worked with many of them. But no one has been able to impress me much. But it is only Akshay Kumar whom I admire. Because he has made his place without any guidance and support. Now the signs of potential are visible in him. After acting for so long, he has now become a better actor.”
Naseeruddin Shah called Shahrukh Khan boring
In the same conversation, when interviewer Naseeruddin Shah was mentioned by name of Shahrukh Khan and pointed out that he too has achieved tremendous success on his own, he replied, “Yes and I respect him a lot for that. But as an actor, he is becoming boring.”

Naseeruddin Shah worked with both Akshay and Shahrukh
Naseeruddin Shah has worked in films with both Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan. Along with Akshay Kumar, he was seen in three films ‘Mohra’, ‘Deva’ and ‘Lahu Ke Do Rang’ in the 1990s. With Shahrukh Khan, Naseer has done films like ‘Chamatkar’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’, ‘Chahat’, ‘Hey Ram’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’. Naseeruddin Shah was last seen in the film ‘Fateh’ released in 2025, whose lead actor was Sonu Sood.
