Single Malt Whiskey Indri

Indian single malt whiskey is now creating panic not only in the country but in the whole world. Four years ago, Pikadili Agro Industries of Haryana launched Indri (INDRI), which in 2024 caught everyone’s attention by becoming the best selling single malt whiskey in India. This overtook iconic Scotch brands such as Glenlivet and Glenfiddich.

Now not only Amarut and Paul John, but new brands like Indri, Rampur (Rampur), Godawan etc. have also come out in the market vigorously. But among these Indri has gained great popularity.

Desi single malt dominates in India

IWSR Drinks Market Analysis reports that for the first time in 2024, the Indian single malt whiskey sales to more than Scotch. The reason behind this became the growing “netpride” and reliable quality. Consumers are now giving priority to Indian Single Malt instead of Scotch.

Great growth in Indri sales

In his second year, Indri set a record by making 1 lakh cases sales and became the world’s fastest increased single malt whiskey. According to media reports, it jumped at the 599% growth rate and its 30% market shared in India. IWSR reports show that in 2024 the sales of Indian single malt increased by more than 25%, leaving Scotch far behind.

What is such a special in this?

In the hot weather of India, the barrel is 10% or more evaporation every year. It is only 23% in Scotland. Therefore, Indian single malts are opened in 5 to 8 years. With this, it saves time along with depth in taste. Apart from this, it is a great coordination of the quality, packaging and price of whiskey.

Identification at global level

Indri has won several awards internationally. Indri Diwali Collectors Edition won the gold medal at the WHISKIES OF THE WORLD Awards 2024. This was the second consecutive year in India’s competition. Pikadili Agro Industries registered a volume growth of 40% in its IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) division in FY25.
