Sesame Seeds Recipes in 10 min: Learn how to make healthy and calcium-rich recipes like sesame rice, sesame laddu and sesame chutney. Perfect for energy and bone strength in winter.
Sesame is rich in calcium and zinc. If it is consumed daily, along with strong bones, bone density also increases. Using sesame also keeps the skin glowing in winters. Sesame seeds also contain protein, fat and vitamin B complex, which gives instant energy to the body. If you have not started consuming your oil yet, then you can prepare and eat healthy sesame recipes within 10 minutes. Know how healthy recipes of calcium rich sesame seeds can be prepared.
Make delicious sesame chutney
- To make sesame chutney, add 1.5 tbsp chana dal, 2 tbsp urad dal, 1 tsp cumin, 3 garlic cloves and 3-4 dry red chillies in a pan and fry till they turn golden.
- Now add 4 tablespoons black and white sesame seeds and fry them until they crackle.
- Now add 2 tablespoons grated coconut, 6 curry leaves and a small piece of tamarind and fry for 2 minutes and turn off the flame.
- Add salt and some water in the blender and fry all the ingredients until they become coarse. You can also add a few drops of sesame oil to enhance the taste of sesame chutney.
sesame rice
- Chana dal – 2 tbsp
- Urad dal – 2 tbsp
- Cumin – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli – 8 pieces
- Black pepper – 1 tsp
- Tamarind
- Dry Coconut – 1 tbsp
- Sesame seeds – 3 tbsp
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
To make sesame rice, you will have to lightly fry and grind all the above mentioned ingredients and make sesame powder. Now you can make delicious sesame rice by mixing this powder with boiled rice and parboiled rice with cashew nuts and peanuts. Eat it with your favorite green chutney.

sesame laddus
- You can easily prepare sesame laddus within 10 minutes. Roast the white sesame seeds until they crackle and keep it aside to cool.
- Cook some water and jaggery in a pan as per the quantity of sesame seeds.
- When it starts becoming like a string syrup then turn off the gas. Then slowly add sesame seeds to the syrup.
- After mixing it, let it cool slightly and apply water on your hands and make round laddus. These are very easy to make and also taste delicious.
