September 2026 Telugu movies: Romanchakam and The Paradise lead the lineup

Eight months of 2026 have passed, and Telugu cinema has now entered the final quarter of the year. August turned out to be a promising month, with three notable successes in Korean Kanakaraju, Vishwanath and Sons, and Irumudi, with the latter emerging as the biggest blockbuster of the season. The massive success of Ravi Teja’s “Irumudi” has given the Telugu film industry some much-needed energy and optimism. The focus now shifts to the releases of September 2026 Telugu movies

The month begins with “Romanchakam” and ends with Nani’s much-awaited “The Paradise.” In between, around 10 other films are scheduled to hit the screens, making September a fairly busy month for Telugu cinema.

The first week will see competition between Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar’s Romanchakam, Dulquer Salmaan and Kayadu Lohar-starrer I’m Game, and Allari Naresh’s fantasy drama “Ramba Oorvasi Menaka.”

Among the three, “Romanchakam” is carrying the most buzz, thanks to its trailers and the involvement of Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the presenter. The film is produced by Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures banner.

The second week of September will be even more crowded, with five films scheduled for release, including three straight Telugu films and two dubbed movies.

Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya-starrer “Epic” has been generating buzz with its songs. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film is set to arrive in theatres on September 11 and is currently the most promising Telugu release among the films arriving that weekend.

Karthi and Ashika Ranganath’s “Sardar 2,” the sequel to the successful Sardar, is another notable release. The dubbed film is scheduled to hit screens on September 10.

Ravi Teja’s nephew’s film “Maremma” and Suhas-starrer Tamil film “Mandaadi” are also scheduled for release around the same time. “Mahendragiri Varahi,” starring Sumanth and Aishwarya Rajesh, is another film arriving during the weekend.

On September 18, Anumana Pakshi, starring Rag Mayur and Merin Philip, will test its luck at the box office.

Biggest Movie of the Month

But the film everyone, from fans and movie lovers to the trade, is eagerly waiting for is Nani’s The Paradise.

Touted as the biggest-budgeted film of Nani’s career, The Paradise could give the actor another opportunity to achieve the pan-Indian success he has been aiming for. Nani plays Jadal, a character that is said to be different from his earlier roles.

The film’s two songs, Aaya Sher and Yeshanagula, have already generated strong buzz. Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise has been building considerable anticipation ahead of its release.

With a crowded September ahead, the focus will ultimately be on whether Nani can deliver the big blockbuster he is aiming for. The trade will be closely watching how “The Paradise” performs and whether it can end the month on a high for Telugu cinema.
