Sensation in China-Pak from Project-75 of India! 70000 crore deal will be done with Germany

India’s neighboring countries can be troubled by this news. India has now started increasing its strength in the sea. For this, India’s Defense Ministry and the German company are going to hold a quick meeting. According to an ANI report, after staying for more than six months, the Central Government has given the Ministry of Defense and Majhgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) to launch a formal conversation with the TheShenkroup Marine Systems (TKMS) of Germany for the construction of six advance submarines under Project 75 India (P-75I). Defense officials told ANI that the conversation is expected to begin by the end of this month. He said that the central government has now approved the Defense Ministry and MDL to start negotiations for this project and this process is expected to start by the end of this month.

What is the target of Project 75i?

In January, the Ministry of Defense selected government -owned MDL as its strategic partner for the event, under which submarines will be constructed in India in collaboration with Germany.

Project features

  1. Six conventional submarines with Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system.
  2. German AIP technology can keep submarines under water for three weeks.
  3. It has been designed to increase India’s indigenous submarine manufacturing capacity and reduce dependence on imports.
  4. The Ministry of Defense and the Indian Navy are targeting a six -month dialogue before the final government approval.

Why is the project important?

According to the ANI report, the decision was taken after a high level meeting of Senior Defense and National Security Officers, in which the roadmap of India’s submarine fleet was discussed. There is pressure on India to speed up submarine production and advancement, with the Chinese Navy’s rapid modernization and expansion of its presence in the Indian Ocean, and Pakistan also strengthens its marine fleet. Officials told ANI that India plans to remove about 10 submarines in the next decade, which will make the project 75i and other indigenous efforts important for the replacement of the fleet.

Nuclear submarine program

Along with P-75i, India is also working on two nuclear submarines. The program also includes private sector, in which Larsen and Toubro) is expected to have a major role in collaboration with the Navy’s Submarine Production Center. Realizing their importance in this sector, the government is looking for an option to carry forward both atomic and conventional submarine projects.

Negotiations with TKMS expect Next Jane’s conventional submarine production to be decided in India. Defense sources told ANI that the government is not only keen to achieve these boats, but also wants to develop indigenous design and construction expertise for future needs.

If the conversation proceeds on time, the final contract can be signed within six months – one of the most important defense projects in India will begin.
