Security vigil has been increased in seven border districts of Bihar due to violent agitation against social media ban in Nepal. SSB jawans are monitoring every activity, border has been sealed and a tough investigation is going on.
Patna: The atmosphere in seven border districts of Bihar is very strict these days. The reason is the heat of violent movements against social media ban in Nepal. Security agencies have intensified the monitoring of the rumor in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Araria, Supaul and Kishanganj. SSB jawans are keeping a close watch on every movement, all the borders have been sealed and there is a strong investigation of the visitors.
Alert and vigilance on the border
In view of the latest situation, SSB officers and police have been placed on action mode in the border areas. Every person and his belongings are being searched intensively. The local administration is constantly monitoring the people crossing the border. The SP of Araria has also directed all the police stations and out posts to be fully prepared for no untoward incident.
Nepal’s inner turmoil has a direct impact
After banning 26 big social media platforms of the Nepal government, the youth have opened a front against the government there. There are situations like protests, stone pelting, violent clashes and curfew in Kathmandu and other cities. Due to the internet and communication service stop, the border people of Bihar have also lost contact with their loved ones. Demonstrations were also observed in areas like Jogbani, Viratnagar of Nepal-Border.
Peace on borders, alert issued
