Noida Protest News: Protest by employees of private companies in Noida has turned violent. Incidents of vandalism, arson and stone pelting on police were reported at many places. Police had to use tear gas to control the situation. The uproar continues regarding salary increase, overtime payment and weekly leave.
On Monday, a similar orgy was seen in Gautam Buddha Nagar i.e. Noida, which is sometimes seen during riots. Arson, vandalism, violence and pelting of stones were seen at various places. When the police tried to stop them, they pelted stones at the police and burnt their vehicles. Let us tell you that the employees of private companies became angry because big companies are earning huge profits by making them work for 12 to 14 hours. At the same time, these employees are being given a salary of only Rs 12 to 15 thousand. Whereas on paper their salary is said to be Rs 25 thousand. That’s why these people resorted to violence.
These are the companies whose employees took to the streets
It is being told that employees of 6 companies are involved in this protest. The names of Noida Industrial’s Motherson, Richa Global, Rainbow, Paramount and SND are included in the list of companies against which these employees have made serious allegations. These companies are quite big and old. Whose more than 500 employees gathered outside the company and started protesting. But now thousands of workers of many companies have taken to the streets in protest.
Government and administration accepted the words of the employees
Let us tell you that this protest first started in the Phase-2 industrial area of Noida. But now hundreds of employees are protesting in different areas of Noida. Slogans are being raised against the companies by sitting on the road in Sector 1, 15 and 62. There is long traffic jam at many intersections. The police used tear gas shells to control the protest, yet the workers stood firm. From the Labor Minister of UP Government to Noida DM Mega Rupam have appealed to the employees to create peace. Also said that all your demands will be accepted. From salary increase to overtime bonus and timely salary, one holiday in the week will also be given.
Yogi government formed committees for the welfare of employees
Let us tell you that in view of the violent behavior of the employees, the Yogi government has formed a committee. Who will listen to their views as soon as possible and after meeting with the companies, decisions will be taken in the interest of the workers. Industrial Development Commissioner will be the chairman of this committee, while Additional Chief Secretary (MSME), Principal Secretary (Labour) and Labor Commissioner are members. 5 representatives of labor organizations and 3 representatives of entrepreneurs’ association have also been included.
