Kajal Aggarwal’s second innings after marriage and motherhood has not gone as planned.
Most of her recent films have failed at the box office, with her latest Hindi release, The India Story, reportedly turning out to be a major disappointment. The film is said to have ended its theatrical run with a lifetime India gross of around Rs 2 crore.
Since returning to films, Kajal has appeared in Acharya, Indian 2, Satyabhama, Sikandar and The India Story. Almost all of these films failed to make a strong impact at the box office.
Bhagavanth Kesari remains the only notable success during this phase, although Kajal had a relatively limited role in the film.
Kajal is currently paired opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna in NBK111, in which she is reportedly playing a powerful character. However, the film’s shooting has been halted following Balakrishna’s knee surgery.
With some unexpected free time on her hands, Kajal is now reportedly focusing on her fitness and makeover.
She is said to be following a strict diet and workout regimen to achieve a leaner and more glamorous look ahead of her upcoming projects.
