Scorpio Classic becomes costlier in April 2026; Check prices across variants

New Delhi: Mahindra’s older Scorpio Classic is still popular even after introducing the newer Scorpio N. Earlier, there were expectations that the company might phase it out over time, but that has not happened. The Scorpio Classic continues to see steady demand, which is why it is still on sale in the Indian market.

For April 2026, Mahindra has increased the prices of the Scorpio Classic. The hike is not the same across all variants, but it goes up to Rs 29,401. The revised prices came into effect from April 6, 2026.

Mahindra had earlier planned to introduce a mid-spec S5 variant, and test units were also spotted. However, it has not been launched yet. The current lineup continues with S and S11 trims.

In terms of features, the Scorpio Classic offers halogen projector headlamps, fog lamps, alloy wheels, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and LED tail lamps. It also gets basic safety features like dual front airbags. The feature list is simple and does not aim to compete with more modern SUVs.

Engine and other details

The SUV is offered in four colour options: Galaxy Grey, Diamond White, Stealth Black and Everest White. Mechanically, there are no changes.

It continues to be powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel engine that produces 132 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox only. There is no automatic option, and the Scorpio Classic remains a rear-wheel-drive SUV as standard.
