Shubham Kumar decided to prepare for JEE after class 10
Shubham completed his early education from a private school in Gaya. After class 10, he took an important decision to leave rest and general studies and completely concentrate on preparing for the engineering entrance exam. Shubham started from home, where he devoted himself completely to his studies. Later, he moved to Kota, Rajasthan, which is known as the coaching hub of India. Here he prepared for JEE Main by working hard day and night for the last two years.
Had to face financial difficulties during preparation in Kota
Shubham’s family faced financial difficulties when he came to Kota. But his planning, family support and self-confidence helped him overcome every difficulty. Shubham told that his study routine was very strict. It was common to study for 10-12 hours a day and even up to 14 hours during important revision and test times. Despite being away from home, he never lost courage.
100 percentile and All India Rank 3 in JEE Main 2026
Shubham Kumar scored 300 marks out of 300 in JEE Main 2026 and secured 100 percentile and made All India Rank 3. He is the only student from Bihar to be included in the top 10, which brought glory to the state. This achievement comes to very few students. Shubham said that consistent hard work, discipline and self-confidence were the keys to his success. He also expressed his gratitude to his parents and teachers who supported and guided him through all difficult times. NTA released the results of JEE Main 2026 Session 1 on 16 February. In the released topper list, Shubham Kumar is among the 12 students who have secured 100 percentile in Paper 1 (BE/BTech) across the country.
