Where is the SCO Summit happening?
The SCO Summit will be held in Tianjin city of China from 31 August to 1 September 2025. It will include heads of 20 countries including PM Modi, Putin and Xi Jinping.
Modi-potin meeting: The stage of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit is once again going to give a new direction to India and Russia’s relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will sit face to face during this most awaited summit in the city of Tianjin, China on Monday. Kremlin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov informed on Friday that there will be an important bilateral meeting between President Putin and PM Modi soon after the SCO Plus meeting on 1 September. Although there has been a constant phone conversation between Modi and Putin, this will be a first meeting of 2025. In such a situation, the eyes of the world are on this meeting.
15 years of India-Russia Special Strategic Partnership Complete
Yuri Ushakov said that India-Russia relations are associated with a special strategic partnership. The two countries announced this in December 2010 and now its 15 years are completing. On this occasion, Tianjin Summit may indicate a new stop of relationships.
Putin will come to India in December
In this meeting, not only the SCO agenda but the preparations for President Putin’s visit to India will also be discussed. Ushakov said that Putin will visit India in December this year, which will open the way for crucial agreements between the two countries in defense, energy, investment and technology sector.
