- To make jaggery mehendi, first filter the mehendi powder, so that there is no lump or waste in it.
- Now boil tea leaves in a cup of water. Let it cool. Add 1 to 2 spoons of jaggery and coffee in it and mix well. This makes the color of mehndi darker.
- Now take henna powder in a vessel. Make a smooth paste by adding tea, jaggery and coffee water, a little lemon juice to it.
- It should not be too thin nor too thick.
- Now add four to five drops of eucalyptus oil in this prepared mixture.
- This makes the color even darker. Cover this paste and keep it for 8 to 10 hours or overnight, so that the color releases properly.
- Fill the prepared mehendi in a cone, make a design on the hands and apply mehendi.
- Wash off the mehendi after it dries for half to 1 hour. Apply lemon or sugar solution in between.
- After removing henna, apply mustard oil or Vicks. Due to this the color of mehendi becomes dark. Inhaling clove smoke also deepens the color.
