While offering water, the devotee should keep in mind that the water falls into the Jaladhari only through the front of the Shivling (mouth), not behind. Pooja would be considered successful and faulty by this.
Do Jalabhishek on Monday before sunrise or in Brahma Muhurta
Few people know that if the Shravan is offered water before the Brahma Muhurta i.e. sunrise on Monday, then its fruit is 100 times more than normal. This time is considered particularly powerful for meditation, chanting and tantra activities. If possible, offer water to the Shivling in this Muhurta.
