Rao Bahadur won a lot of appreciation for Satyadev. His performance received tremendous response from critics and celebrities alike. The film, which was released in theatres last month, however, delivered only a mixed result at the box office.
While the film did not make much money commercially, Satyadev’s performance was widely praised. But for the actor, appreciation for his acting abilities is nothing new. He has been receiving similar praise for several years.
What Satyadev needs now is a solid commercial success.
In recent years, he has not delivered a strong hit that could sustain and expand his market. He hoped Rao Bahadur would provide that much-needed boost, but the film did not quite give him the required impetus.
Satyadev has also recently taken up supporting and secondary roles in films such as Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom and Akshay Kumar’s Bollywood film Ram Setu. While these appearances have kept him visible, he now needs a strong commercial success of his own to regain momentum.
The next phase of his career will be crucial. He needs a film that connects with the audience commercially and gives him the market strength to continue either as a lead actor or in substantial key roles.
