Maharashtra Doctor Rape Case: A female doctor committed suicide in the district hospital located in Satara, Maharashtra. Before committing suicide on Thursday, October 23, she told in the suicide note written in her hand that a police sub-inspector (SI) raped her four times in 5 months. In a note written on the palm of her left hand, the victim accused SI Gopal Badne of physical and mental abuse and said that she was forced to commit suicide due to continuous harassment. In the suicide note, the doctor has also accused another police officer Prashant Bankar of mental harassment. Let us tell you that Badne has now been suspended.

On June 19, the doctor wrote a letter to the DSP
According to reports, the victim had made similar allegations in a letter written to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Phaltan sub-divisional office on June 19. In a letter written to the DSP about 4 months before her suicide, the woman doctor had accused two police officers of Phaltan Rural Police Department of harassment and demanded legal action against them. In this letter he has mentioned Sub-Divisional Police Inspector Patil and Assistant Police Inspector Ladputre.
Badne suspended after orders from CM Fadnavis
Sub-Inspector Badne has been suspended on the orders of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. At the same time, Maharashtra State Women’s Commission also took cognizance of the incident and said that the police have been ordered to investigate for not taking action despite the doctor’s complaint.
Congress targets Mahayuti government
Congress leader Vijay Namdevrao Wadettiwar targeted the ruling Mahayuti coalition government over the suicide note. The duty of the police is to protect, but if they themselves are exploiting a female doctor, then how will justice be served? When this girl had filed a complaint earlier, why was no action taken? The Mahayuti government is repeatedly saving the police, due to which police atrocities are increasing. In this case, merely ordering an investigation is not enough. These police officers should be dismissed from their jobs, otherwise they can put pressure on the investigation. Action should also be taken against those who saved these police officers. Unless action is taken against the police, police atrocities will not be stopped.
The accused will be arrested soon

The process of registering an FIR is underway. One of the accused is outside Satara and a team has been formed to arrest him. The accused will be arrested soon.
