Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel flagged off ‘Sardar@150 Unity March’ from Ambli area of Ahmedabad on Monday. This march is being taken out to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel is considered the architect of modern India and a symbol of national unity.
Jubilee celebrations are being held across the country
With the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is being celebrated across the country. This Unity March has been organized to take this program to the masses and spread the message of national unity.
Statewide march organized in assembly constituencies
CM Bhupendra Patel had started the statewide unity march from Junagadh on 9 November. In the same sequence, on Monday morning he also launched this padyatra from his assembly constituency Ghatlodiya.
Sardar Patel created a united India by combining 562 princely states.
In the program, the Chief Minister said that after independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country, created a strong and united India by merging 562 princely states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi carried forward the mantra of the same unity as ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
Kashmir was connected to the mainstream by removing Article 370.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah further strengthened the spirit of one India by removing Article 370 from Kashmir from Kutch to Cuttack and from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Statue of Unity a true tribute to Sardar Patel
CM said that Prime Minister Modi paid a real tribute to Sardar Patel by building the world’s tallest statue ‘Statue of Unity’. This statue is a symbol of India’s power, culture and glorious history.
India is moving forward at a fast pace with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has established the politics of development in the country. Under his leadership, India is rapidly moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
Build a developed India by adopting Swadeshi
CM Patel urged the people present to remember Sardar Patel and adopt all the indigenous items and make them a part of life. He said that we all should unite and contribute in achieving the goal of developed India by 2047.
Pledge of self-reliant India in Unity March
The people participating in the march took a collective oath to adopt Swadeshi and contribute to building a self-reliant India.
Mayor of Ahmedabad paid tribute in welcome speech
Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain said in the welcome speech that this unity march organized under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of the Chief Minister is a true tribute to Sardar Patel.

On this occasion, BJP State President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister in-charge Hrishikesh Patel, Minister of State Darshanaben Vaghela, MP Dineshbhai Makwana, Narhari Amin and many public representatives and officials were present. Apart from this, city MLAs, BJP officials, saints, members of former royal families, councilors and a large number of citizens, youth and students were also present.
