Sumeet Raghavan has been ruling the TV screens for decades and has a huge fanbase. The actor has worked with many top Bollywood celebrities and in a recent interview he shared the million-dollar advice on how the B-Town biggies make it to the long-term careers with their ‘hunger’ for work.
Sumeet Raghavan On Working With Akshay, SRK, Nana Patekar
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Sumeet opened up on working with Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit and shared what differs them from all the others. He said, “The difference lies in working with the top actors like Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. I’ve worked with Nana Patekar, even Madhuri Dixit, in a Marathi film called Bucket List. When you see their passion, you’ll be amazed. They take nothing for granted. I have seen Nana Patekar meticulously working on scripts, even writing dialogues in his own handwriting.”
Hunger And Passion Are Essential: Sumeet
Further, he added, “He’d carry a book with handwritten scenes and recite lines as if it’s second nature. When I asked him why he does this, he’d say that when he writes, it percolates inside him, and the character becomes a part of him. Also, Akshay is dedicated to a different level. This is what strikes me – their approach to work is like worship. I believe in the same ethics – hunger and passion are essential. If you’re satisfied, you’ll lose the drive. You should always be hungry for good things, learning, and growth.”
“Anything you do is for posterity, so don’t live in the present. Create something that will be remembered 100 years from now. That’s what I strive for,” concluded the actor.
