With Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh not only regained his stardom and emerged as one of the biggest pan-Indian stars, but the film also gave a major boost to another talent, Sara Arjun. She became one of the talking points of the film, despite being only 20 when it was released.
The second part, Dhurandhar 2, released in March this year and went on to become another huge blockbuster, setting new records. Interestingly, just a month before the release of Dhurandhar 2, Sara made her Telugu debut with “Euphoria.” However, neither film has translated her newfound popularity into a major career breakthrough so far.
After the success of Dhurandhar, there was considerable buzz around Sara, with expectations that filmmakers from both Bollywood and Telugu cinema would line up to sign her for major projects. While there has been talk that she is in discussions for two big Bollywood films, nothing has been officially announced yet.
What is particularly surprising is that Telugu filmmakers have not yet announced a major project with Sara.
The industry has been actively looking for fresh female faces who can be paired with leading stars and appeal to audiences across languages. Sara, with her Dhurandhar visibility and pan-Indian recognition, would seemingly fit that requirement.
It remains to be seen whether Telugu filmmakers are simply waiting for the right project for her or whether the actress has already chosen to focus more on Bollywood. For now, despite the massive visibility she gained through Dhurandhar, Sara Arjun’s next big move in Telugu cinema remains a question mark.
