Once Yudhishthira asked Lord Krishna, ‘O God! Is this not a good fast, by which he becomes a son and grandson by doing the sorrow of a human being. ‘
After listening to Yudhishthira, Shri Krishna narrated the story of the child Saptami fast to him and said, ‘At one time Ayodhya was ruled by King Nahusha. He was a very fair and mighty king. King Nahusha’s wife’s name was Chandravati. The queen also had a beloved friend, named Rupwati. ‘
‘One day Rani Chandravati and her friend Rupwati river went to bathe. There he saw many women worshiping. When both of them asked the reason for this, they told that they are worshiping children Saptami.
Seeing this, Rani and her friend also resolved to fast on the child Saptami. Rupwati did this fast but Rani Chandravati forgot to do this fast. In the next life, Queen Vanari and Brahmini became a chicken. Brahmins also meditated on Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the vagina of the hen. ‘
‘After this, he was born again in the human vagina. This time Rani Chandramukhi became the queen of the king of Mathura and Rupavati again Brahmani. In this birth too, both of them were friends. The Brahmin fasted the child Saptami in this birth, which made him eight children.
‘Rani did not fasten the child Saptami even in this birth, due to which she did not have any children. Brahmani remembered his rebirth. He went and told the queen. The queen also fasted the child Saptami, which also attained a qualified child.
