Sanjay Dutt at ‘KD – The Devil’ event talks about Bollywood, mass appeal, clashes and more

New Delhi: During the teaser launch of upcoming film KD – The Devil, Sanjay Dutt made some interesting comments on the current state of the Hindi film industry. Dutt, known for his outspoken views was vocacious during the event, with many insightful comments being made by the actor that have since had fans in a frenzy.

One of the most consequential statements Sanjay Dutt made during the event was when he said how, “Bollywood has forgotten how to tell mass films.” He himself claimed that he “loves mass, loves the mass.” Dutt also talked about his dedication, revealing that he worked with a 102 degree fever during the film’s Thailand shoot.

Another big name from the Hindi film industry that is part of the film is Shilpa Shetty, who also commented as to how, while she had initially rejected the film due to schedule conflicts; however, after an injury sustained during a Rohit Shetty series, she heard the narration and immediately accepted the role.

Dutt also talked about the upcoming clash of Dhurandhar and Raja Sahab, both of which are slated to release on the same date, with Dutt being a part of both. He acknowledged that while both films are different, he personally thinks he hopes that both films do not clash. Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt both shared their reactions to young people using shortcuts to achieve beauty, a problem they both talked about reaching preposterous heights.

KD – The Devil is an 2026 upcoming Indian action drama film directed by Prem and produced by Venkat Narayana Konanki and Nisha Venkat Konanki. The film boasts of a huge cast with Dhruva Sarja, Reeshma Nanaiah, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Sanjay Dutt, Poonam Jhawer, Shilpa Shetty, and Nora Fatehi being amongst the big names present in the film. The music was composed by Arjun Janya.
