Sanjana Sanghi Talks About The Tussle Between Authenticity & Popularity In Industry

Making her mark on a global level, Sanjana Sanghi became the Youngest Indian Actor to deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Summit of the Future.

Continuing her commitment to youth advocacy and women’s empowerment, Sanjana recently attended a Leadership Summit alongside the esteemed director of Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin, at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.

When asked about the tussle on film sets between being authentic and being popular, and how often they have to choose between the two, Sanjana shared, “I wouldn’t want to be popular at the cost of being authentic. I cannot even, while I am at any event, be someone I am not, so if popularity is the by product of being authentic then great otherwise just popularity on it’s own isn’t so satisfying.”

Director Nag Ashwin agreed with Sanjana’s viewpoints and expressed his thoughts further, “Completely Agree to what Sanjana just said, for the most part you want to be real even when you are outside a film set. I don’t know what the choice is really, but yes just be authentic!”

The event concluded with the audience applauding and thanking Director Nag Ashwin and Sanjana Sanghi for an insightful discussion on Creative Leadership.
