Samyuktha’s Comeback Plans Hit by Delays to Key Films

Samyuktha was once regarded as a lucky charm by some filmmakers, thanks to her string of successes in Telugu cinema. However, her winning streak came under a cloud following the failure of Akhanda 2.

Hoping to bounce back quickly, the actress had pinned her hopes on films such as Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swayambhu, Puri Jagannadh’s Slumdog and her woman-centric film Black Gold.

All three projects were expected to reach theatres by now, but none has made it to the big screen.

Swayambhu is reportedly facing VFX-related delays, while Slumdog is said to be dealing with financial issues and the lack of an OTT deal. As a result, neither film appears likely to arrive in theatres anytime soon.

In an unexpected development, Haindava, starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas, is set to hit theatres next month.

The film could now become Samyuktha’s next release, ahead of the projects she had originally expected to bring her back into the spotlight.

Samyuktha is also part of Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film. With her other projects facing delays, some of these films may not arrive until 2027.

If the current schedules hold, Haindava could be her only theatrical release this year, making it an important film for the actress as she looks to regain momentum in Telugu cinema.
