Samsung Galaxy A07 5G Launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, Six Android Updates, 6000mAh Battery

It runs Android 16 with One UI 8 and supports 12 5G bands for wider network coverage across the country.

The Galaxy A07 5G is positioned for GenZ users focused on social media, streaming and gaming on a budget. Samsung is offering two memory variants, bank cashback schemes and no-cost EMI plans up to 18 months. The phone is already on sale through offline and online channels, including Samsung exclusive stores and major retailers across India.

The Galaxy A07 5G comes in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The 4GB variant carries a market operating price (MOP) of Rs. 15,999, while the 6GB option is priced at Rs. 17,999. Both support storage expansion up to 1TB via microSD card using the hybrid dual-SIM slot.

Samsung is providing a Rs. 1,000 cashback on both Galaxy A07 5G variants. The offer applies on SBI, HDFC and Axis Bank cards, as well as UPI transactions. Customers can also choose no-cost EMI schemes of up to 18 months through leading NBFC partners. Under NEP for bank and UPI customers, effective prices drop to Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 16,999.

The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations. A High-Brightness Mode boosts peak brightness to 800 nits, improving outdoor visibility. The display is protected by a 2-step tempered glass structure designed to resist everyday scratches and minor drops.

In terms of build, the phone uses a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer back panel, balancing durability with a slim profile. It measures 8.2mm in thickness, weighs 199g, and features a flat-frame design referred to by Samsung as “Key Island 2.0.” An IP54 rating provides basic protection against dust and light splashes. Security hardware includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while colour options include Light Violet, Light Green, and Black.

Powering the Galaxy A07 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6nm process, with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This setup is intended for everyday tasks, multimedia consumption, and casual gaming. The device is backed by a 6,000mAh battery, around 20 percent larger than its predecessor, with support for 25W fast charging via USB Type-C, though no charger is included in the box.

For photography, the phone sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, while the front houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options include 5G SA and NSA support across 12 bands, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS with GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a bottom-firing speaker.

On the software front, the Galaxy A07 5G runs Android 16 with One UI 8. Samsung has committed to six years of Android OS upgrades and security updates. The device also includes Samsung Knox Vault for hardware-level data protection, along with fingerprint and face recognition for secure access and UPI payments via Samsung Wallet.
