New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday took oath as new chief minister of Bihar. He is the first BJP CM of the state.
The oath of office was administered by Bihar governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain at Lok Bhawan in the presence of senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Nitish Kumar, whose accession to Rajya Sabha necessitated the requirement of a new CM in the state, was also present at the ceremony.
