Keeping this in mind, there will be a board near every delicious breakfast in Nagpur, which will read ‘Eat wisely, your future will thank you.’
Orders given to government institutions to put up warning posters
The Health Ministry has ordered all the central institutions including AIIMS Nagpur to put up such posters in their institutions which clearly tell the people about the amount of fat and sugar present in the daily breakfast, which is harmful for our body. The aim of this initiative taken by the Ministry is to make people aware about the amount of sugar and oil in the breakfast they eat every day. AIIMS Nagpur officials said that all the snacks like laddu, vada pav, pakora are being tested. He said that these warning boards will soon be installed in cafeterias and public areas. Health experts believe that the sugar and trans fat consumed through these snacks can be as dangerous as tobacco. He said that people have every right to know what they are eating.
think twice before eating
A diabetologist said that the government is not banning food, but is just making people aware of their health. While explaining to the people, he said that if you come to know that the Rasgulla you are eating may contain 6 spoons of sugar, then you will think twice before eating it. He said that in view of today’s situation, it is necessary for the government to make people aware about their health. He said that today the main cause of most diseases is food and drink. Experts believe that diseases like diabetes, blood pressure etc. are related to wrong eating habits.
Government commented on obesity
The government warned people about obesity. He said that looking at today’s situation, it can be estimated that by 2050, more than 40 crore people will be victims of overweight and obesity. He said that in the matter of obesity, we will be second after America. He said that if you look carefully, you will find two out of every ten people who will be troubled due to obesity. He said that not only this, due to today’s eating habits even young children are becoming victims of obesity.
