Samay Raina has returned to stand up comedy after the India’s Got Letting Controversy with the show ‘Still Alive’. In this show, Samay Raina recalled the controversy of latent show. During this, tears came to his eyes. He told that after a question from Ranveer Allahbadia, the matter escalated so much that the situation went out of control.
‘I was blaming myself for this dispute’
Samay said that the matter increased a lot after the show was out. Recalling this moment, he said that he was continuously receiving messages and he started feeling that he himself was somehow responsible for this entire controversy. During this time he was living in a lot of guilt and fear.
Many people’s lives were disrupted
He said he was heartbroken after watching a video of the vandalism at The Habitat. In the video, the elderly parents of studio owner Balraj Ghai were seen pleading with the police. He was saying that he should be let go, even though he had nothing to do with the show. I was heartbroken after watching this video. I started crying. I felt that one show turned many people’s lives upside down.
There was a disturbance at Ranveer’s mother’s clinic.
Samay also mentioned the dreadful atmosphere when goons attacked there and the police reached the spot. During this time, Apoorva Mukhija was receiving rape threats and death threats to her family. There was also a disturbance in the clinic of Ranveer Allahabadia’s mother, due to which he had to leave through the back route.

The comedian told that he was so scared that he could not even answer his mother’s video call. Later when he spoke, he felt even more guilty after seeing his mother’s condition. Because he lied to mother that everything was fine, whereas after talking to me, mother called my friend and said that he was not well enough to handle her. I thought who am I hiding from, she is my mother, she can understand everything.

During the show ‘India’s Got Latent’ in the year 2025, Ranveer Allahbadia asked a controversial question, which people considered objectionable. After this there was huge protest on social media and many FIRs were registered. The matter escalated so much that the National Commission for Women had to intervene. Later, the Supreme Court gave interim relief to Ranveer, but also expressed strong displeasure over his remarks.
