Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently got overwhelmed with emotions during her speech at Telugu Association of North America (TANA) 2025 event.
She addressed the North American Telugu community while expressing gratitude for their unwavering support for Telugu cinema and culture.
Samantha, in her speech mentioned that she wanted to be a part of the event since past 15 years. In a video shared by Gulte on its X handle, she said, “I can’t believe it took me 15 years to be on this stage. Every year I would hear about TANA and the closely-knit Telugu community that were there for all of us back home.”
The ‘Kushi’ (2023) actor further said, “I never got the chance to thank you. You made me your own from my very first film. You have only given me love. I can’t believe it has taken me 15 years and say thank you. I think I have come here at an important stage of my career.”
“I am not even surprised that the people who loved and appreciated ‘Subham’ (2025) the most were from the Telugu community of North America. I am truly grateful. Every step I took, every mistake I made, you still didn’t let go of me. I am truly appreciative of that,” Samantha went on.
“Wherever I go and whichever industry I work in, the first thought which comes to my mind before making any decision is, ‘will the Telugu audiences be proud of me or not?’ Thank you for supporting me on this long journey. You gave me an identity, a home and a sense of belonging,” she added.
In her concluding remarks, the actor acknowledged the unconditional love of the North American Telugu audience by recalling how ‘Oh!Baby’ (2019) earned a million dollars in US. At the end of her speech, she broke down in tears.
Apart from Samantha, Allu Arjun was also seen at (NATS) in Florida, US.
On the work front, Samantha will next be seen in Raj and DK’s Netflix series, ‘Rakt Bramhand’.
