Salman Khan extends support to Rajpal Yadav
Salman shared a picture of Rajpal and praised him for his hard work and dedication towards his craft, which has kept him going for over 30 years. The superstar added that movie offers will never dry up for him as he brings value to a project. “Kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega,” he wrote, taking a sly dig at the comment passed against Rajpal at the event. He further played mediator by asking Rajpal not to take things to heart. “Dena hi hai toh dimag mai rakho dil se kaam karo, dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai dena toh India mai hi hai,” he concluded.

Rajpal Yadav handles sly jibe with grace
At the recently held event in Mumbai, Rajpal was seated in the guests’ box. A jibe saying, “Rajpal bhai, no matter how much the dollar and rupee fluctuate, aapko utne hi paise lautane padenge jitne udhaar hain,” was taken at him. Yadav, despite feeling agitated, maintained his cool and said smiling, “Masla toh sun lo ek baar. Main toh masla hi sunana chahta hoon.”
Why was Rajpal Yadav arrested earlier this year?
Back in 2010, Rajpal and his wife Radha borrowed approximately Rs 5 crore from a company to fund his directorial venture Ata Pata Laapata. They struggled to repay the loan after the film failed. Several cheques issued against the amount were dishonoured, leading to legal proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Due to accumulated interest and penalties, the outstanding amount reportedly escalated to nearly .The actor surrendered himself at Tihar Jail.
He walked out of Tihar Jail on February 16. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma of the Delhi High Court suspended his sentence on an interim basis. The case is still in court.
