A naked body of a woman was found near Kalsia Canal in Behat area of Saharanpur. The deceased has been identified as Sapna wife Pradeep Kashyap. In CCTV, the woman was seen leaving the house barefoot. Police are investigating the angle of murder and suicide.
A woman who came out of the house in the silence of the night, walking barefoot in the dark, was captured on CCTV and a few hours later her body was found in the canal. This case which came to light from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh is shocking everyone. The death under suspicious circumstances of a woman living in Mahajanan town of Behat police station area has also left the police in confusion.
Dead body found near Kalsia canal
The deceased has been identified as Sapna, wife of Pradeep Kumar Kashyap. The case is of Kalsia Canal of Kotwali Behat area of Saharanpur, where the body of the woman was recovered in the Eastern Yamuna Canal. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation.

Last picture captured in CCTV
According to family members, everything was normal till late Monday night. When Sapna was not found at home around 3:30 am on Tuesday, her family members started searching for her. After searching the neighborhood and relatives’ homes, CCTV cameras installed in the locality were searched. In the footage, Sapna was seen coming out of the house at around 2:30 in the night. She was barefoot and was last seen near Behat Mandi Committee. After this no trace of him was found.
Dead body found without clothes and jewelery
Husband Pradeep Kashyap told that after a few hours he got information that Sapna’s body was found in the canal. Clothes and jewelery were missing from the dead body, whereas Sapna usually used to wear jewellery. This fact has deepened the suspicion of the family members.
Family members accused of murder
According to Kotwali Behat in-charge Satpal Singh Bhati, during the search operation, Sapna’s body was found in a naked state in the Eastern Yamuna Canal near Kalsia Canal. The family members have termed it as murder and demanded strict action.
Murder or suicide, police confused
Police have sent the body for post-mortem. In the initial investigation, the police themselves are not able to decide whether the case is of murder or suicide. Officials say that the exact cause of death will be revealed only after the post mortem report comes.
Investigation continues from every angle
At present, the police is thoroughly investigating the case on the basis of CCTV footage, call details and other technical evidence. The question of what is the reason behind the death of the woman has become a topic of discussion in the entire area and the family members are pleading for justice.
