Sachin Tendulkar interacts with India U19 team, shares invaluable advice before Pakistan clash

New Delhi: The legendary Sachin Tendulkar gave a pep talk to the Ayush Mhatre-led India U19 team ahead of their all-important clash against Pakistan in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2026. India will lock horns with Pakistan in a do-or-die Super Six match at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday, February 01.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, the India U19 team got a chance to interact with Tendulkar during a virtual session on Friday. BCCI shared pictures of the interaction, where the youngsters gained invaluable experience and insights from one of the greatest the game has ever seen.

“In what was an invaluable experience, the next generation got insights and perspectives on the important ingredients for success and longevity in an ever evolving sport,” BCCI said in a post on ‘X’ while sharing pictures of Tendulkar’s virtual interaction with the India U19 players.

The support staff of the India U19 team, including head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar, bowling coach Sunil Joshi, and fielding coach Subhadeep Ghosh, also attended the virtual interaction session with Tendulkar. Tendulkar’s former India teammate VVS Laxman, who heads the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE), was also part of the meeting.

The interaction would have been an invaluable one for all the players, including skipper Mhatre and rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who have already made waves with their performances in the IPL. The players will hope to use the motivation from the interaction to execute their plans well against Pakistan in their must-win clash on Sunday.
