New Delhi: Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff, who battled fiercely in the French Open final, seem to have put their on-court tension behind them in a TikTok dance video. The clip that was filmed outside Centre Court at Wimbledon shows the World No.1 and No.2 laughing and enjoying each other’s company while recording the dance and it has quickly gone viral across social media.
Their lighthearted moment suggests the friction from Roland Garros may have eased ahead of the year’s third Grand Slam, which begins Monday at the All England Club. Not only did they film the video, but they also practised together, hinting that they have moved past any lingering tension as they prepare to contend for the Wimbledon title.

At Roland Garros, Gauff defeated Sabalenka in a hard-fought final, 7-6, 2-6, 6-4, to claim her maiden Grand Slam title on clay. However, the aftermath saw Sabalenka, visibly emotional as she attributed the loss to her unforced errors rather than Gauff’s performance. Her comments sparked backlash online, with many interpreting her words as dismissive of Gauff’s achievement.
Later, Sabalenka clarified her remarks and admitted that emotions got the better of her after a tough defeat and publicly apologised to Gauff, acknowledging she never intended to downplay her opponent’s victory.
Not just that, they shot multiple videos, gave an interview, and practised together. In another video, the two were seen joking about a question they were asked regarding being together while speaking to Tennis Channel on their way to Centre Court.
